We both wrote 26 random words and put them in a box. Each fortnight, we take it in turns to pick a word and we have to post a photo of our interpretation of that word, with an explanation......Click on the photo, then please leave your comments and tell us. What do you see...?

Money
its a gas....... (Pink Floyd)
I wonder what stories this coin could tell if it could speak. Where has it been? Has it been abroad? Stuck in a piggy bank? (Do you still have those?)
How many times has it been on the floor? Down a drain perhaps? How many pockets and purses has the coin lived in? Or swallowed by some one and gone in one end and out of t'other......Yuk
Mind you its probably been down the back of more sofas than I have!

Amazed
When I got this word I knew had already got the photo.....How you ask? Well this picture was taken in Central Park in NY. The picture is of a humble Sparrow in winter. Why are you amazed, I hear you mumble....Are you sitting comfortably?
When I grew up I remember summer days filled with song birds and singing and the non stop bird activity in the garden. Birds would flock down to eat the bread we put out for them. Sparrow after Sparrow would fly down and munch on the bread crust. I remember you would find the poor little babies that had fallen from their nest, the egg shells of hatched Sparrows born on that day. Its another world that mixes with our world and has this combination proved to be the Sparrows undoing???
Where are they now? When was the last time you saw a Sparrow, let alone flocks of them?
Are we living through the Sparrows demise in our country?? I hope Im wrong, please tell me that the humble Sparrow is still going strong....I will be amazed

Shoes
When I was little I used to love the story of The Elves and the Shoemaker. When I saw these I knew it was true

Child
I'm always being told to 'grow up', but why? I go to work to pay my bills and I'm not a nasty person. What's wrong with believing in magic?

Cold....
Well how lucky is this!!! Sitting on my sofa watching tv and the clouds turn very dark outside. Then a flash of lightening, clap bang its thunder!! Then the heavy dark clouds unleash their load....It starts to hail storm! Outside suddenly changes from greens and browns to white. This picture is the hail stones that congregated on my widow ledge......Please bring on the summer. Tc

Sleep
One of my favourite words. I love to sleep and I hate getting up. Getting into bed after a long day is bliss!
Friday nights are the best, it's the weekend and Monday morning seems a lifetime away.

Fast
I got the word "fast" and I have not been at all fast in taking my picture. I thought for weeks on what to capture, a fast train??!! a fast car??!! ohh how original, I thought.
So it came to me the other day that i dont need to capture a fast object, how about taking a photo whilst moving the camera fast. So I experimented in my front room spinning around snapping. After a few attempts I felt sick from all the spinning. My snap was the camera whizzing past the television.
Have a look closely and tell me what can you see on the tv? Tc

Weather
Spring is on it's way.....Aslan is on the move....oh no, that's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe!
The weather can often determine my mood. It's hard to be sad when the sun is shining and I'm more likely to be grumpy if it's raining. I'm almost sure that I'm solar powered!
We probably don't realise how much the weather affects us. Not only our moods, but what we wear to what we do in our free time. I often have to change my plans due to the weather and on a bigger scale, the weather can turn our lives upside down - hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, tsunamis - they can take homes, livelihoods and even lives. Don't underestimate Mother Nature.

Words
Ironically my word was words! Hmmmm I thought and thought and thought and thought...you get where im going here!
Anyway everyday I travel into London on a train and everyday I pass the same bits of scenery, houses, offices and other stations. Outside this particular station the walls are covered in words, no idea what they mean as normally we travel to fast to read them. I snapped my camera and captured this section of the wall. I like the fact that words and letters are all over our planet and in our everyday lives. They even live on station walls!! Tc

Picture
'In my mind I see a picture' - This was one of the first photo's I took when I became interested in photography and it's still one of my favourites. To me, it means home, it means happy and it means love. All three of us live together, mess about together, we can be happy together, sad together and at times, all get on each others nerves, but through all of our ups and downs, we are there for each other, take care of each other and love each other - I'm so lucky. Trust
Trust, the word I picked for my photo. My initial reaction was one of I want to swap! Then clarity swept across me and I decided to continue with my word.
This picture is of my next-door cat neighbour, who we have named Barney. When she was smaller her markings made her look like a Barn owl, hence the name. Now this is one very friendly cat, I think she is about a year old. She spotted me when I was in the front garden; I had my camera and tried to set up a shoot…. Cats don’t do photo shoots!!!
Anyway I carried on with the shot, capturing pictures of the back of the head, backside etc…
I got her to try the wheelie bin out.
“Nice” I said as she started to pose and trust the camera and trust me pointing a camera at her at close range. Then she stopped and just looked straight down the camera into my eyes…Snap I went and got this shot. Barney trusts me………! Tc

Love
I ve just bought a new camera, delivered on Saturday, deadline for picture is Sunday! BLIND PANIC!!!!!!!
I did have this photo in the back of my mind all week as the image to use. I thought my reasoning would sound a bit cheesy. The more I thought about it the more I realised it wasn’t and it really summed up the word love for me.
In this picture are 2 females that mean the world to me and I Love very much. The picture came about by accident, ironically whilst I was getting to grips with another camera we bought.
I adore the fact that the only two women that have mattered to me in my life, we’re in the same shot at the same time looking at me with love......
Sadly the cat in the picture passed away in August of last year, however I have this permanent image of my 2 ladies to look at smile at and feel love from and I will treasure it for the rest of my days. Tc

Stunned
When I got back into the car I put my music on. The first song that came on was an a-ha song - 'Birthright'.....TLC
Earth
It was a picture taken flying over the east Atlantic at 36,000 feet above sea level on the way to JFK airport in NYC.
I chose this photo as its an image of that part of our planet on that particular day at that particular time. Its been there for millions of years, changing, living and going on about its daily business. I wonder how much life is in this picture? The fish in the sea, the land animals surviving the snow and the cold. People? Are there any people living in this picture?
Anyway why don't you take a look yourselves...Tc
